The Making of The Roast A2 Gir Cow Ghee
What makes our A2 Gir Cow Ghee Special?
A2 Gir Cow Cultured Ghee is made using fresh Gir cow milk. The milk is brought to a boil and naturally cooled down to room temperature and inoculated with a natural starter culture and left overnight to make yoghurt. The yoghurt is churned during pre-dawn hours (4 am - 6 am) to separate raw white butter using the ancient process of 'Bilona' - clockwise-anticlockwise slow churning.

The Roast's A2 Gir Cow Ghee is a vital source of holistic nourishment and taste and is made using the traditional ‘Bilona’ method. Our 150+ A2 Gir Cows are grazed freely in open pastures helping them to select their fodder. The presence of herbal plants like Shatavari, Jivanti, Ashwagandha and others in the fodder of the cows has a significant impact on both milk and ghee.
Note -The aroma, flavour and colour of A2 Gir Cow Ghee vary from batch to batch as its prepared in small batches in earthen pots under manual supervision. Moreover, cow fodder changes frequently depending on climatic conditions. This results in property change of the milk and its products
